With our 3 axis Multicam USA CNC router, dubbed Nqobi (isiXHosa for conqueror), we are able to CNC cut the majority of our tooling in-house. For prototyping and small or intricate parts, we make use of 3D printing to produce moulds. Having CNC capability enables us to rapidly progress from having a functional tooling design to the manufacturing of tooling. We are able to achieve reduced tool manufacturing lead times, while still being in control of the tooling quality. Our in-house CNC cutting capability further allows us greater flexibility in the prototyping and development of processes and parts.
